Villas of Muskoka – Website Rescue & Rebuild
Sometimes a new website project begins with a blank canvas. Other times, it begins with rescuing a business from a website that has been abandoned. That was the situation when Muskoka Graphics became involved with Villas of Muskoka.
The existing website was no longer being properly supported, leaving the resort with an online presence that had become difficult to manage and increasingly disconnected from the day-to-day needs of the business. Muskoka Graphics stepped in to take control of the web presence, rebuild the site and turn it back into a useful business tool.
Villas of Muskoka is a four-season resort community located directly on Lake Muskoka between Bracebridge and Port Carling, offering two-, three- and four-bedroom villas along with a private beach, docking, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and other recreational amenities.
The rebuilt website at VillasOfMuskoka.com does considerably more than showcase the property. It provides detailed accommodation information, promotes the resort and surrounding Muskoka attractions, supports inquiries and directs guests into the online booking process. The property also includes individually owned villas and a managed rental program, so the site needs to serve prospective guests as well as people interested in villa ownership.
As the business has evolved, so has the website. Villas of Muskoka is now managed and operated by Jayne’s Luxury Rentals, and the website integrates that relationship into the guest booking experience while maintaining Villas of Muskoka’s own identity and established online presence.
Muskoka Graphics continues to provide the website maintenance and technical support behind the site, something the website itself acknowledges in its footer.
For us, Villas of Muskoka is a great example of an important part of our work that isn’t always visible in a finished portfolio: we don’t just build new websites.
